How sponsorship works
1. Choose your monthly amount.
2. Your gift joins other sponsors supporting a dog in training.
3. Every three months, we send you an update on that dog.
4. When the dog is certified, you'll hear about the team it joins.
Questions
Is $15 the minimum?
Yes. Monthly sponsorship starts at $15, and you can give more if you'd like.
Can I name the dog?
No. Naming is a corporate benefit: companies at the Naming Sponsor level choose the dog's name from our approved list. Monthly sponsors follow the named dog through training.
Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes. Courageous Companions is a registered Canadian charity. Monthly sponsors receive one receipt at the end of the year covering all their gifts.
Can I change or cancel?
Yes, any time, through your PayPal account.
How is the veteran matched to the dog we fund?
By the placement team, on clinical and practical suitability. Sponsors do not choose the handler, and that separation is deliberate.
Is a sponsorship tax-receiptable?
The charity is registered and issues official receipts. Because sponsorship carries recognition benefits, your finance team should confirm the treatment that applies to you.
